I'm 13 about to be 14. My dad doesn't want me to wear like any makeup at all, but i have acne and blemishes I want to cover up. On an everyday basis, i just put on councilor, powder, mascara, and a little blush. Occasionally, I put on eyeliner and eye shadow, but not often. Is there anything I can do to make it look more natural so my dad doesn't notice it as much?

Blend, blend, blend, and blend some more. *nods*

IMO, at that age, concealer, mascara, blush, and powder are pretty much all you need. So I think you're being pretty sensible in that regard.

Beyond makeup, though, definitely start thinking about a skincare routine to help combat the acne. :)

My dad was like that, eventually he just gave up when he realized it was a useless battle he wasn't going to win lol.
I agree with Shelly, start with a good ski care routine and ask your dad if you can compromise with very natural looking make up. Maybe some very natural Eyeshadows and something like tinted chopsticks such as Burt's bees or lip butters/balms so you don't have to hide your makeup from him. Also, explain to him that you mainly want to cover up and have a smooth complexion and enhance your natural beauty. Good luck !

Listen to your Dad. And theres no way you can make all that makeup less noticeable. Dad is not dumb. My best advice is: like i said, listen to your Dad. If not, talk to him & work something out, be honest with why you want to wear makeup instead of lying or hiding it.

When I was your age cover girl clean makeup was a life saver. It actually has medication in it that helps kill acne causing bacteria and get rid of pimples. Ultimately your dads gonna be able to tell. Hit him with this angle: " I know you think Im still to young for real makeup, and I don't want to do something that makes you unhappy, but I'd like to tell you how it makes me feel when my skin loos like this." If he is that bent you're too young, you aren't going to get away with accent makeup like eye shadow. But if you show him a foundation that is close to your skin tone, and how it blends in, and makes you feel so much better AND it's helping clear the blemishes so you eventually won't have to wear as much, he will probably be more understanding. As far as your lips go, get a nice colored lip balm or a clear gloss. I love alima, it's all natural and they have some super natural looking colors. Once you dad get comfortable with the idea, show him other things you'd like to use (I'd stick with natural skin enhancing stuff) and show him how simple they can look. For example a little brown mascara. And then ask him to think about it. I KNOW it's soooo hard. I had the same problem as you except with my mom, and I found out that if I just talked to her and showed her I wasn't trying to just go against her she let me do a lot more. Good luck! And btw you're very pretty already (: you really don't need much.

Before makeup you should be focusing on a skin care routine to get rid of acne & blemishes.... Makeup may only make the problem worse if your not cleaning ur skin properly... Makeup really only evens out your tone acne bumps and such will still be visible

Sabrina, i would have to agree with most of the gals that have commented. At 13, it's tough to hear that there's no quick fix or trick to blot out and mask the acne, but the beat advice it to get a good skincare regimen! I work for a plastic surgeon and we deal with several acne patients. A goos over the counter product for teens is proactive, but a much better medical grade product is Obagi (for starters step 1 foaming gel and step 2 toner)...try it, at least for a month and over time you might not even need to worry about wearing makeup at your age. Best of luck!
