Yes, it can definitely be done! Here's a tip if you're doing it yourself though. When seperating the top and bottom section, instead of making a blunt straight line, make a zigzag line. When you put your hair up you won't get that look of having two heads of hair glued together. Haha. And if you make a really deep zigzag it just blends better.
I'm not into the ombre hair, it looks like old dye that grew out & that you failed to get touch ups, just my opinion. I use to get highlights & color my hair often but now i prefer my natural hair color, no more dyes.
I like it a lot. I prefer when the colors are similar in tone though. Example: blonde and dark brown instead of black. Because most blondes are golden blondes which is a warm color, and black is usually blue based which is very cool.
