I know how you feel girl!! I was born with naturally curly hair too. I would not permanently straighten it because it will damage your hair ALOT and it's hard to grow out. And as hard as it is to believe, I can almost promise you that you would miss your curls afterwards. Your hair really is lovely!! You should read the curly hair hand book by lorainne Massey, it really helped me embrace my curls and be more confident with them :)

Well, do whatever makes you happy, buy I honestly think your hair looks amazing. Instead of spending your money on a permanent straightening, you should invest in products to enhance your natural curls. But thats just my opinion, as someone who have seen beatiful curls turned into stick-straight, artificially-looking hair.

Your hair is absolutely beautiful and it looks pretty healthy. I think that getting your hair permanently straightened is too much. It will damage your locks and you might end up getting bored of the look. Stick to your natural hair and just straighten it when you want and create other styles also. Take advantage of the flexibility we girls have with our hair!

I had curls like your's and my mom brought me to the salon to have it permanently straightened when I was 11. I've done it 2 more times because when the first two wore out (yes, you have to have them redone- I don't mean that your hair will turn back to its original, that'll never happen again, but the straight will start turning frizzy), I started getting a huge dent all across my crown including my bangs and my hair was beginning to look like a witch's. It looks flat, dull and a couple months later, it'll give you a harder time than what your curls gave you.

I'm 18 now and I'm still patiently waiting for my hair to look tolerable. The 3rd rebond (straight perm) that I got in 2009 wore off 2 years ago and now my hair is wavy but it gets bad if I don't apply mousse, braid it, or straighten it. Like I said, it's worse than having my natural curls.

I have permanently straightened my hair twice and will never do it again..My hair is of same type as yours.. Hair looks great with permanent straightening for the first month, and then it starts looking gross when the actual hair start to show up from roots. It also made my hair fall very badly..

From the look of your photos, you seem to like straight hair a lot. While I personally don't recommend it, you should give it a go because I'm pretty sure that straightening your hair everyday can be a drag. Maybe try searching for a treatment that isn't as damaging to get straight hair?

Girl, I would kill for your curls! Like most others have said, I wouldn't go for the permanent treatment. You can do lots of things to loosen your curl pattern a bit so that straightening it goes easier. My personal fave is brushing my curls out while they're wet, so when they dry it dries more into waves.
Also, you should really look into "wrapping" your hair. Most people look at it as a "black girl" thing but it works for all ethnicities to help preserve straight hair.

Nonono. Don't ever chemically straighten nothing. Your hair will lose strength and fall out. It doesn't even look as nice ( the way in straighten my hair now looks sleeker and more natural than when I had the keratin or a relaxer ). And to top it off... If you don't like migraines than I suggest you don't get keratin anything. I never suffered from migraines until I started doing it. They were strong migraines too. They stopped once I stopped doing it. There's so many negative side effects to it. Just learn to deal with your hair because at the end of the day when water falls on your hair guess what shape it is?? Curly!!

I got my hair permanently straightened and it destroyed my hair. It stopper growing and got frizzy and was constantly breaking. That was almost two and a half years ago and my hair is just now returning to being healthy because I stopped straightening it. I personally don't think it's worth it.

I hadn't got my hair permantly strait before bc to b honest I didn't know you can do that but I usto straight my hair so much and it did do Alot of damage after a while because even if I've cut off the dead ends my hair won't curl the same no more and it's the biggest mistake I've made and now it's hard for it to grow, but if you want to try the strait perm then go for it but every one is right, just think about it good, good luck tho :-) if you do it post a pic please
