Recently I bleached my hair. To be bleach blonde, I have to say my hair is pretty healthy. It's not breaking or spongy but my hair no longer has a curl to it. I have been using the Ion Reconstructor from Sallys and Renpure conditioner on my hair to try to restore my natural curls. Does anyone know why this happened and what I could do to help fix this?

Try usuing natural oils like coconut oil! i love it and its espically good for restoring moisture to colored and belached hair and reviving curls... heres my latest video on it.. hope it helps :)

It's also good to start with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner in the shower. DevaCurl is an amazing line, expensive, but with great results. Also, try using a cotton t-shirt to dry your hair instead of a terry cloth towel. It won't pull all of the moisture out of your hair, not to mention, it's gentler on the strands.

Another great moisturizer is Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi Wild Ginger line. It's great for hair that has been "bleached" until dry. The Moisturizing Lather Shampoo and Keratin Intensive Treatment are fantastic! Follow that with the Paul Mitchell Forever Blonde Dramatic Repair and you'll be on your way to healthier, curlier hair in no time.

The reason your curl fizzled out is because you lifted the cuticle on your hair so much, it can't retain moisture. Also, the lightener might have been left on too long, or they used a developer that was too strong. In other words, the integrity of your hair has been compromised to the point of damage. However slight it may be, it's been done. Just give it some TLC and it'll get better!
