I am an aspiring makeup artist (DUH! LOL) and I am wondering how to become a successful makeup artist and get into the industry. I am interested in catalog, special effects, bridal, internships anything to do with makeup!! Any advice will help THANKS!!
I agree with Nicol D! Also, practice on anybody & everybody! & take professional pics & post them online or even create your own site! Just get yourself out there any which way you can. Hope this helped!! :D
Btw I am new to YouTube & would love it if you can check out my channel! I am doing an AWESOME giveaway at 100 subbies <3 http://www.youtube.com/user/TheXisA...
Network like crazy and build your portfolio. Sites like ModelMayhem.com are a good way to do both. People are always looking for artist willing to do TFP (trade for photos) shoots.
My tips would be to practice CLEAN COMMERCIAL looks, drop the glitter and feathers lol Clean work is my bread and butter then brides. Once you feel comfortable start assisting and work on your portfolio ..It takes a long time but if you are hungry you will succeed good luck!
