Your nose is fine. I have a big nose too....people are rude! Your makeup looks that you posted just are not looks that many people could would want to wear. The color combos are not good. But don't give up keep practicing you will get there!

It just may not be to people's tastes. (Personally, I'm not a massive fan of the look on the right.)
Photography-wise, they need to be better-lighted, IMO. If you can, try to take pictures of your looks in natural sunlight. If you can't, you need to make sure the room you're in is well-lit. Maybe you need to use a flash. I also don't recommend using the camera with your iPod/smartphone/tablet to photograph your looks. While it may be convenient and quick, you don't really get to see the looks properly. At the very least, buy a P&S (point-and-shoot).
I also like Amy's idea of trying different tried-and-tested looks to go alongside more creative ones. I disagree with her about using effects in your makeup photos; IMO, it's distracting and takes away from the makeup. The only real adjustments you may need to make would be to colour-correct or adjust brightness/contrast.
So... when i finished a makeup course a few months ago and started doing makeups in me and posting on internet... what i wanna know is why people don't like my makeup? Maybe if you could go for a lighter look first and work your way up. Your nose is perfectly fine. Accept yourself and don't let people discourage you from your passion. Ignore them. They only make you stronger. :) just hang in there and keep on practicing. You'll go far and remember, fake it til you make it girl! :)
Most makeup artist are in the biz because we love it. Don't let anyone's harsh comments discourage you at all. Your nose is fine, our flaws make up different from everyone else, embrace them. Remember everyone told Barbara Strisand to get a nose job .... and shes famous for her nose,.....they told Cindy Crawford and Marylyn Monroe her "mole" wouldnt work......and boy did it work! Be confident and practice and continue to do what you love!

For you pictures I would suggest that you research into lighting to try and give your photos an 'edge'. Also make up lots of different faces and copy many popular styles e.g pin-up makeup, bridal makeup, 60's makeup and smokey eyes.
Try and learn to use an editing program for cool effects and professional looking finishes, or try a site like craigslist as there are always photographers looking to collaberate with makeup artists and models. You can also advertise for free makeovers to build up your portfolio but keep to what the model is comfortable with.
If you have passion, flair and drive then you should succeed!

I think is all about experimenting. Even though I went to school for hair, skin and nails I'm still learnign in the field and I'm not perfect but don't worry. purchase a color wheel. you can snag em cheap at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc. This will help you see what colors will go well together. Just make sure you know how to use it. There's resources on the internet, etc.
Smooth out the harsh lines. Blend Blend Blend. This will create a more cohesive look, even if the colors aren't that complimentary together.
For photog...light source should be behind the camera, not behind you. Also, stay away from translucent powders as in a photo, this will usually make the face look shiny and oily. the camera will pick up even the lightest makeup, so sometimes less is more.
