Just keep washing it. Color is always darkest right after its done. Also, try going to a stylist and tell them to use the desired shade with a 30 volume cream developer so it lifts and deposits with minimal damage.
Thanks guys, all advice was really helpful. Will give it a go on washing it with dandruff shampoo see how that goes if not colour stripper. I'll be going to the hair dresser again on sat will ask to put the 30 volume cream developer and yes better be half off!!! Night xooxx
I'd call and get them to fix it! The hair dresser over blonded mine last Friday. They fixed it free of charge on Saturday. I reckon they know when they screw up!!
Color does not lift color unfortunately bleach is your only option unless you can get a professional color remover which even then is extremely drying to the hair. I would recommend fading it out with clarifying shampoo and going to your stylist asking them to perform a strand test on you with bleach to see 1. The strength of your hair and 2. How light they can get you without completely ruining your hair. Last two pieces of advice invest it moisturizing product this process will be drying to your hair and never go back to that stylist
You can also ask the same hairdresser or a different one to take you up a couple levels, that will lighten the color just as long as your hair is not black. They can take you up to 4 levels of what the color is now. If the shampoo doesn't work I wouldnt strip your hair your self.

Crush some vitamin C tablets and mix it with dandruff shampoo and leave it on your hair for a bit. Worked for a friend of mine. Good luck!

30vol only works on virgin hair if your hair was colored black then it's no longer considered virgin hair.

If you call her she should let you come in for free for a correction. Usually salons have a "one week" policy: I'd check it out.
