Ok, so this is a beauty basic but I'm not sure if I'm curling my lashes correctly. Since I've been curling them, I've always put the curler at the base of my lashes, then held it down for a few seconds. Well, I was watching a video on YouTube and the guru said not to do that as it may damage you lashes, but to "pump" instead of holding it down. I started watching other videos and some held it down while others "pumped" which way is the correct/better way?

when i curl my lashes i hold it for a few seconds on the base then work my way to the end of my lashes, so it wont look like u just creased them at the base, hope that makes scene.
