I am really having a hard time getting a quality pic of any of my looks, they look waaay better in person and im trying (in vain lol) to get together a good portfolio. Granted, I do not have the best equipment for the job, pretty much just my iphone, but it is remarkable how much better quality everyone else's pictures are!!! Do people photoshop or something, or am i just a truly horrible photographer lol?! Any advice to help improve my pics would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

here are my tips on getting a good picture of your look:
-make sure you have good lighting, natural sunlight is the best. if its night time, try using a vanity type light (bathrooms usually have this type of lighting).
-also, take lots of pictures in different places with different angles of your face. use flash & dont use flash on some pictures.
-if you don't have photoshop, then use a website like photobucket.com .. make an account with them (for free!) and upload your pictures. once uploaded, you can brighten your photos, change the colors, and hide blemishes, etc... one thing about editing though, make sure that you edit only features of your face that you don't want to take away from the look, like pimples or red spots. never edit your look itself, like changing around the colors or fixing a mistake you made with the makeup on your eye. you want to keep your look original and just the way it showed up on your eyes/face.
if there are any other tips you would like on anything then just contact me through any of my social networks.. they're all located on my youtube page.

Another great photo editing site that's free is pixlr.com. It has mostly everything photoshop does and it's free! :) Hard to argue with!
