Well, what do you specialize in? for me that's makeup. It's my strongest suit. I post a lot of pictures (if not all) of my creations. If you have any specific questions I would love to help out as best as I can, so don't hesitate to ask. :) Enjoy your time on Beautylish!

well, i'm not a pro at anything.. but i change hairstyle quite often, and I also dye and do other peoples hair..I also like makeup, and decorating nails but not that good at them:) I've looked other people's photos and they are SO awesome! mine, not so much:) and why don't i get a notification when someone writes here?

It's okay not be a professional, I'd say most, if not half, of the people on this site aren't professionals. Me, I'm just a 15 year old girl with a passion and a camcorder. lol.
And you say you "aren't that good" at nails and that is alright. Beautylish is a great place for you to improve on your talents.
In order to be notified when someone rights you can go to your settings and on the right side it says "email settings" and there is a list of notification settings. Check off "Replies to a Talk topic I am following" and then of course save your settings, and you should get an email when ever someone replies to a topic. If that doesn't work, or you don't want a bunch of emails, go over the "talk" tab at the top of the page. The bottom most suggestion is "following" click that and it will take you to all the threads you are following and tell you who the latest reply was from.
Is it good if someone follows you? Sure. That means that that person will get daily notifications in there feed of every time you post a video, photo, or comment on a thread or article.
In order to follow someone just go to their profile and at the right hand side you will see their profile picture and a bunch of information about them. There is a grey button that says "follow" click that and then you will receive notifications when someone uploads anything or replies to anything.
It is a great idea to put yourself out there and make new friends, I do not however recommend asking someone to do "follow for follow" because...
1. Though some people rely on it for most of there "fanbase" a lot of people find it unfitting and a terrible trait to have.
2. Would you rather have 1000 followers that are just following you because you followed them or would you rather have 10 followers because they love your content and want to see more?

just one more questin for now.. under my name there are options like " home, yoyr profile,your photos, your videos, " and also "your notifications" but when i click your notifications, it says "page not found." ?

And that's weird. It shouldn't be doing that, but if it persists another way to get to that link is either type in the direct URL: beautylish.com/notifications or when you are on the home page scroll past the "latest talk" section and right below that it shows your three latest notifications. Click "see all notifications" and it will take you to that same page. :)

Try freelancing if you like todo hair and makeup alot. The only way to improve your skills is to practice everyday to perfect it. As a licensed cosmetologist, it's really hard in the beginning to build up your portfolio once you get started and keeping up with the current trends. I would say post up your good work on here. Everyone has their own creativity when it comes to the beauty industry. Have fun and practice! :)
