I just always wonder way extreme makeup looks get more attention.I mean I love doing that once and awhile I've even posted pics from stuff I did awhile back but I notice or I feel as makeup has been lost in the form of face painting and layers of eyeshadow :-\ and the same looks are everywhere.Do you guys ever feel the same way? Just a thought.

I never really paid any attention but I love looking at the extreme looks and doing my own twist on a particular look that I like. For myself personal I use makeup to enhance not cover-up or change my face completely. When I do fitness competitions I love to have my artist go wild and do whatever to make me stand out on stage. You have to do what makes you feel comfortable.

I feel that way to an extent Alma. I'm not sure if you had a chance to check out the show "Face Off" about makeup artistry on the SyFy channel---pretty amazing stuff. They are constantly pushed to do extreme character makeup which is very impressive. However, there was a challenge this season for them to do "beauty" makeup. The artists said that was the most difficult makeup look to achieve. I think it actually takes more skill to apply makeup beautifully and tastefully, creating a more natural look, than it is to slap on crazy colors and call it art. BUT art and beauty is subjective. Practice accentuating your best features with subtle tones, contours, and highlights and you won't need to resort to tacky neon colors in an effort to display your artistry.
