So recently I've been lightening my hair I've had three sets of highlighting so far and I've gotten to a honey blonde ish colour my ultimate goal is more of a bleach blonde look but I'm worried about the damage of my hair. I've heard protein masks are good ? Any recommended brands ? Just product advice in general would be greatly appreciated ! (Shampoo, conditioners, treatments, serums etc) here's my current colour !
YOUR SO PRETTY!
But yeahh . . i love your hair color now. i wish i could lighten my hair but its not as healthy as it used to be so i cant do it. :(
Deep repair masks are great to resstore hair after bleaching it
people with really dark hair is pretty hard to go blonde you have to bleach it and once its bleached you really dont know how its going to look but ya masks work my hair is to dark to do a bleach blonde so i am not sure but good luck and post pics
Hi lovely! I have gone from (dyed) black to blonde in 2 sessions of highlights. Im surprised how quickly it has worked- hairdresser used 12% bleach each time mind you lol! I was worried about the condition of my hair, as I have been dying it for 10+ years and when i had dyed it black, that ruined my hair. BUT, surprisingly, the bleach hasnt affected it any more! It still feels like it needs some TLC from time to time, so I have been using the John Frieda Sheer blonde collecion of shampoo (a lightening formula to enhance the blonde), the moisture rich conditioner and a deep conditioning cream and my hair feels so much better for it! Im due to go for bleached 'slashes' soon to finish it off to which ill be pretty damn blonde! Haha! So all in all, look for products designed specifically for blonde & highlighted hair, defo get a treatment mask or deep conditioner. Hope this helps and i didnt ramble too much :P x
Going blonde is bad for your hair but as long as you baby your hair afterwards it will be grand! :D So just make sure to have products for blondes, I use a few brands... Can't think of what they are atm but I use a purple shampoo twice a week to keep it from going brassy and make it a very light blonde. I also always use a leave in conditioner from mid lengths to ends. And the first time I wash it after I get my roots done I leave in a hair mask for 20 mins especially at the roots... uh... ya.. I can't think of anything else right now but If you have anything else you want to ask Ill try and help.
