Is there an in between?? In my opinion matte finish for foundations isn't natural looking for me. I'm oily thru my tzone and I'm having a hard time finding a happy medium. Any suggestions?
NARS Sheer Glow. I know, it isn't marketed to us (I say "us" because I have the same issue you do: oily T-zone), but I know of oilier gals who like it all the same. A less expensive foundation, and something similar to that, would be something like Neutrogena Healthy Skin.
You may also like something like Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (I think it sets semi-matte?) or Perfection Lumiere. Some of the Estee Lauder foundations have natural or semi-matte finishes (their Equalizer foundation is meant for combination skin and has a natural finish).
A tinted moisturizer would work too, probably.
Trying to think of some other less expensive options because I know I mentioned a lot of pricey ones (they were all off the top of my head, though!).
I recently got the perfection lumiere but I'm just not in love with it. I've been mixing vitalumiere and perfection lumiere putting each in the areas needed and that's working okay but I'd rather not use two foundations I possible. And I need more coverage than what I've found with tinted moisturizers.
First thing is to tone your skin ! Toners make a huge difference for oily skins. Use a mattifying primer on your t-zone. A good foundation for a semi-matte finish is the Shiseido Perfect Refining foundation.
I've heard. Milk of magnesia helps control oil. Maybe using that with your current foundation will work? I may have to try this also because I have the same issue. Have oily skin but do not like matte foundations. But maybe you can use a matte or semi matte foundation and use highlighter around the face to get the flow.
You could use a matte, long wearing foundation foundation, set it with powder, then spray it with a setting spray. It will not only get rid of that matte, dry powder look, but give your face a more natural finish. & because you're using a setting spray, your makeup will stay in tact & keep the oil away!
Yes. Do what @Andrea G. Mac Fix + is great! And the Skindinavia sprays are great also. I use the Skindinavia spray for aging skin because it's more moisturizing.
Chanel Pro Lumiere or even Mat Lumiere set semi matte so it's not matte but your skin showing through also Dior Forever and Illamasqua Skin Base are awesome too

Matte primer on t-zone. Or dust some matte powder where its needed. So you dont compromise your current foundation.
