I have just quit biting my nails. They are really short. I have tried fake nails, but hate getting them on. Any products i could use that will let me grow out my nails and not needing fake nails put on?
A good diet can help encourage healthy nails, as well as OPI Nail Envy, every other day and a good cutcle oil all over the nail to help replenish the nail. I would also recommend a crystal nail file which is a lot kinder to the nail plate.

My sister has long nails, and they're completely natural. Everyone always tell her how awesome they are and asks how she gets them like that, so I just asked her and she said to "Be Careful". Just be careful about breaking them and drink lots of water and eat healthy and you should have perfectly long nails in no time.
Essie has 2 different nail growth polishes. Both produce nail growth in 5 days, one (the pink one) acts as a strengthener and nail grower at the same time. $8 at Ulta, or Impulse Beauty. Or Sephora by O.P.I's 3 n 1 helps alot. $14 at Sephora.
Drink a lot of water, and maybe try taking biotin! biotin helps with nail growth, and hair growth. I found mine at CVS Pharmacy for $10.49 and i got one free (: also, just have patience. Hope I helped!
The best bar none is Sally Hansen Miracle Grow in the gold bottle. Do just what it tells you to on the back and in 5 days you will see that your nails are growing! Promise! I totally agree with Victoria E.
biotin does work but you wont see the effects for three months. dont use your nails as tools. treat them like adornments wear gloves for housework moisturize hands
Sally Hansen products have been known to dehydrate your nails which eventually causes peeling. Before I went to nail school I used those products and on the first day we were taught that they weren't exactly the best thing to be using. I would recommend getting a gel polish on. If you are trying to grow them out go to a salon and ask for the "no chip" manicure. I would recommend just getting the base coat with two topcoats! This will give your nails plenty of strength to grow out without breaking. Since they aren't using any actual "color" I would ask for five dollars off. I would say "since I'm not getting a color today will there be a change in price?" I recommend the clear because when you get home you can change your nail color as much as you want with a non acetone nail polish remover and the clear will stay on. If you get a color then you will need to go back in two weeks to get them redone. Sorry this is so long!!!
Other than that... Cuticle oils, creams and biotin will help you achieve the long nails that you want. The change has to come from the inside. You can't change the nail once you see it.
Use biotin skin, hair and nails vitamins. Take it 3x a day with meal, eat lots of fruits, vegetables, and drink plenty of water!! I hope this helps oh p.s do not bite your nails that also help with nail growth and get manicure every 2 weeks! :-D

Orly nail defense followed by a good clear top coat. Change it every 3 days. Also, LOTS of water - drink, drink, drink.

If you don't like fake nails, you could also try Shellac! It's like a gel based nail polish! Keeps your nails strong and helps them grow... I love it!
