Okay, so I dyed my hair with the L'oreal HiColr HiLights in RED, about a week ago. I'm going to the beach tomorrow and was wondering if I was gonna need to do anything special to it...I'm already not wetting it, i'll probably put it into a ponytail or messy bun. But will the sun fade it? I live in Florida, but i'm new with this hair & not completely sure. Thanks!
Use a colour protecting system (l'oreal has a good one) I.e shampoo conditioner and treatment masque, that has a UV filter in :) your hair looks fantastic btw!
Hey so I am an avid hair dye-er and if you stay in the sun too long yes it WILL fade if you're out for too long. I suggest wearing a hat or something if you're going to be tanning or wrap it in a towel. If you're going to get it wet, put some conditioner in it first so it'll lock in the colour and won't get too damaged. I love the colour! It looks lovely with your skin tone!
U need a shampoo/conditioner with a uv protector. Schwarzkopf BC Colorsave is sulfate free has spf and protects the hair for up to 30 shampoos. u can also use manic panic to refresh your red inbetween dyes. Just be careful with your towel and pillows it does bleed, everywhere!

you should be ok in the sun. what I did when my red was fading I would use manic Panic vampire red to put the vibrancy back in it.

The sun won't fade it, but Makes it dry. So moisturize, lock in the colour when you wash next! And your hair looks fab! (;
