Go to Hollywood. First ask yourself if being a model is what YOU WANT not b/c other people are telling you to. Look up John Robert Powers online, otherwise you will have to look out of town.

John Robert Powers is nothing but a thief. And Hollywood is a cess pool. My middle child is a child actor/model and we visited legit agencies. Most agencies allow you to submit pics via snail mail (some have even stepped up their A game and even look at submissions via email). If there is a local community college with a photography/art department see if you can snag a student to take some simple shots of you in exchange for them having something to add to their portfolio. You need a simple head shot...no heavy make-up and no jewelry of any kind. And a full body shot....some cute fitted jeans (or even a skirt) and a top that has no print. They want to see the natural you and not someone with a bunch of extras going on. If any agency ask for money up front...RUN the heck outta there! With out son we didn't come out of pocket for nothing when he was signed. Depending on which side of the country you reside on New York and Los Angeles are major when it comes to agencies. Chicago is another market as well. How tall are you by the way?
