Ok so as a makeup artist, I use a LOT of mascara and often use different types as well as dipping the wand many times back into the mascara. How does anyone do this without cross contaminating the client with the mascara? Using a thousand disposable wands per client isn't working for me…. advice?
Don't use the wand that comes with the mascara unless you're going to give it to the client afterward. Use disposable wands (more than one, if need be).
The only advice I can give you is to use disposable wands, there are a lot of places where you can get them that are cheap and a lot more hygenic...
also if you find that the disposable wand is not picking up the mascara just swirl it on the tube, do not pump the wand or else air will go inside and can ruin the mascara already not enough time to use mascar(3 months life spawn not enough for me).
Use disposable mascara wands and do not double-dip into the tube ever. Change the wand every time you dip again into the mascara. Or you can buy mascara that allows you to scoop some out and put it on a palette so you don't have to change the wand every time you need more mascara on a client. Or if you're feeling generous use the wand that actually comes with the mascara and give the mascara to the client at the end. Some people do use the wand that comes with the mascara and clean it with 90% alcohol every time they're about to dip it again, but personally I never do that.

You scoop some out or you get very cheap mascara. Don't double sip! It's not worth getting sued for giving someone pinkeye or staph.
