I don't think it would be too much, unless you went for a concealer-dead-I-have-no-lips look :) I really love the Loreal Fairest Nude lipstick. Very natural and really pretty!!
You should try the NYX Mega Shine lip gloss in Natural. It's got a decent amount of pigment for being a lip gloss, but it won't look overdone as lipsticks can tend to. It also isn't too shiny/glossy and has no glitter so it really does look like a lipstick, but less done up. If you wanna go for a lipstick, MAC's Creme Cup (as already suggested) is a great pinky nude. Hue by MAC is a wonderful true nude. Creme Cup is a cremesheen and Hue is a glaze, so neither of them will look overly pigmented and overwhelm you. And Urban Decay's Lip Junkie gloss in Naked is that perfect "my lips but better" color that you could try if you want something a bit more shimmery.
A great nude lip color is the Revlon Lip Butter in the color Creme Brule. It is not expensive, moisturizes the lips, and is a great nude color:) You can get it at any drug store
A really nice nude pinkey option is Blankety by MAC. And Verve is a really nice nude/peach. If you're looking for a nice nude gloss, I would recommend Wildly Lush plushglass by MAC.
I would keep as much distance between your lips and Revlon's Nude Attitude. It's literally skin colored plus a little orange. Not very cute.. And it's dryer than ANYTHING I've ever tried. It instantly emphasizes any dryness you have.. super gross haha
Nude lips are wonderful. I would suggest the Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee as a wearable, shimmery nude. Cover GIrl Lip Perfection in Delish is an AWESOME coral nude, and it's not too drying.

I think the reallyy nude shades would be a bit much. I'd try sticking to a pinky nude color like creme cup from Mac.
