I use bare minerals foundation but the bare minerals brushes are too hard which brush should I use to apply mineral foundation? And which brand is better? Mac, sigma , or real technique? Dual fiber brush or round kabuki brush?

Try real techniques buffing brush, its sooo soft! you can find it in their core collection.

Hi Jennifer,
The bareMinerals brushes are made of sable hair and are very dense which is supposed to break up the minerals even further for a flawless finish. The alternative if you don't like the feeling of the brush is to use a dense stippling brush - dual fiber is fine and if going with a synthetic fiber brush, just make sure it is ultra dense and to use a bit more of a sweeping motion than a buffing motion as they teach you in applying mineral foundation. As for brands, I prefer Sigma's Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki F80.

I'd definitely recommend the sigma f80. Sigma brushes, in my opinion, are some of the best. That brush is so versatile, too!

I'd recommend using the round kabuki brush, I use body shop's for my Laura Mercier mineral powder foundation and I love it!
