So I'm in love with nail polish, but I still don't know what brands to buy. Suggestions? I need cheap, but quality brands.

Sally Hansen is decent and cheap. Revlon is ok. Wet n' Wild is pretty decent too.

I have found that I really like L.A. Colors Color Craze. I spotted it wandering through dollar tree one day, bought only one since I'm skeptical of inexpensive nail polishes (they are either too sticky or aren't opaque enough). I find the L.A. Colors Color Craze is very easy to apply and dries fast with awesome pigmented colors ... Two coats normally does the trick :) Dollar tree also offers Art Deco nail polishes too =)

Sinful Colors are the best ♥ 99 cents or $1.99 at Walgreens

Sinful Color is affordable but I think even wet and wild nail polishes are good..With a good base coat and top coat...it will last.

I really like Wet & Wild (0.99-$2.99!) polishes, invest in a good base & top coat , they'll wear beautifully. Also an overlooked "gem", Spoiled nail polish. You can find this brand at CVS for $1.99 regular price & it goes 50% off all the time! Like the WnW Megalasts (not WnW shine) the brush in Spoiled n/c is kind of big, they call it a "professional" brush. Nope, I've never seen a nail tech use a polish with a brush THIS SIZE before. But with quality & amazing color selection it's worth it to suffer the so called "pro-brush".
Milani also has good nail polish, many finishes & colors, all usually around $5 per bottle.
China Glaze is good, but unfortunately is going the way of OPI, CND & Piggy Polish, meaning while its great polish a bottle will set you back $8-$9 easy. But for favorite colors, splurge on these brands.
Sinful nail colors are good enough, but I DESPISE the bottles shape. It's the ONLY nail polish bottle that I've had slip out if my hand & more than once! I put this down to shape as its NEVER happened to me before.

At Walgreens Jordana n/c is good, nice shade & finish selection for $1.99-3.00 & surprisingly Claire's. if you have 1 in a mall near you check out their polish. It's cheap, $2.00-$4.00 per bottle & has an abundance of trendy fun shades. Downside is that it's sometimes hard to find a bottle some tweenager has not "sampled" & it can at times thicken fast.
LA Color Craze- I too was drawn in by the bright, fun colors in the collection AND the 0.99 price tag. I bought 3 colors, a mustard yellow-y shade, a metallic navy-royal blue-ish & a bright candy pink. I put the yellow on my toes & the pink on my fingers, using Poshe basecoat & Seche Vite quick dry top coat. The toes? They wore well, going on week 2 with no chips, though I did do a hot pink French tip on them, but the finger nails? I had chips on several nails at day 1! Even w/ Poshe base coat & Seche Vite top coat! I can't help feel that if I had to pick up stuff w/ my feet my toenails would be similar...

That's my (word-y) take on best inexpensive n/c, there are some nice ones out there. But I would recommend that you splurge on a good base coat (I like Poshe & OPI natural nail $8-10 per bottle), top coat (my faves are CND quick dry <-hard to find FYI & Seche Vite quick dry $8-9 per bottle) and polish thinner. These things are worth it...my favorite polish thinner is Seche Vite Restore, $12-14. The bottle is small but you need only 3-4 drops typically. I've had the same bottle over a year whereas I ran through the much larger Poshe nail polish thinner in no time. The Seche however IS in a glass bottle w/ a glass dropper, so do keep the box to store it.
Good luck!

I just did my mani last night w/ Wet N Wild & Spoiled n/color, here's a pic to show how good they look. Wet N Wild SBTB collection (oldie but goodie) Pom Pom Kelly and the accent nail is Spoiled n/c in Club Rat.
I know this is an old post, but I LOVE n/p so I thought I'd still share:-D
