I see Two Cosmetics will be back. Here's a warning... they are Lady Burd resellers. They were selling last year the Lady Burd paint wheels as eyeshadow and were telling people the paint wheels were safe for the eyes DESPITE Lady Burd stating no. The FDA has listed the ingredients in the Lady Burd paint wheels as NOT SAFE FOR THE EYES. I found it VERY DECEPTIVE for Two Cosmetics to sell the paint wheels as EYE SAFE when Lady Burd stated otherwise. I wrote up a whole blog post about it and showed how the images on Two Cosmetics were even listed as the colors from Lady Burd and Two Cosmetics just "renamed" the wheels for their site. In fact the paint wheels are STILL listed on Two Cosmetic's site in the eye section but now have a very pale warning. http://twocosmetics.com/eyes/paint.... If you right click on the image then view the image the url will STILL show Lady Burd's name on the palettes. So buyer be ware and stay away from Two Cosmetics.
@Yasmin - the FDA has iffy regulations at best, and MANY products that are not okay in the USA are fine in other countries - and vice versa. It depends on where each company's headquarters are, and if one company is adhering to a dated regulation. That said, I'm pretty sure that this is not the case with Two and Lady Burd.
From what I see on the site, Two has listed that several palettes aren't safe for the eyes, where are you seeing that they are claiming to be "eye safe?" The link you provided carries a warning on almost all of the palettes.
I did originally email them about it and their reply was, "yes, safe for eyes, all over the face, body...can be used wet or dry." That was a lie and I called them out on it and they eventually added the small gray warning but still kept the items listed in their Eyes section. It's a face paint not eye paint. This is why I said buyer beware because the company is shady.
I was at IMATS NYC and missed out on a few brands. I will definitely stop by Kryolan, Inglot, and Hakuhodo when IMATS LA comes around. I'll probably finish finalizing travel plans in May or so.
Yasmin - could be the person you spoke with. Sometimes new employees mess up or don't know any better. I'd give them the benefit of the doubt - at least they corrected their error, you know;) But yeah, there's some shady-ness out there. Had some issues myself with "BitchSlap" cosmetics stealing my work for their ads.
BTW great meeting some of you at this years NYC IMATS! It was Give Good Face's first year with a booth and we sold out - what a weekend! Hopefully we'll be doing LA soon as well!
I'm most excited for the seminars...that's why I go...we as makeup artists typically get greater discounts on a regular basis with our industry discounts than what they offer at their booths there..but it's still fun to browse, I just don't really go to buy stuff. Of course, I always end up leaving with stuff :)
