Bubbles are caused by trapped air, most likely from shaking the polish. Gently roll the bottle to mix the product, and let it sit for a few before using. Also make sure that you're applying the polish with slow, long strokes, as opposed to dabbing it on.

let your nail polish dry and be patient; apply the second coat of polish after the first coat is FULLY dry!
I hate when nail polish bubbles! So annoying. I've found that some polishes do it every time. The Sally Hansen Diamond Shine topcoat is absolutely awful, it bubbles every time. Also for some reason Revlon Minted always bubbles on me. But besides just having a crappy formula, I've found that you can avoid bubbles by not applying too thickly, and allowing enough time to dry. Learned from experience that 3 thin coats is a lot better than 1 thick coat :)
Personally I haven't experienced this before as Angela mentioned shaking the bottle can cause bubbling. I usually shake the bottle a few times to make sure it's mixed well. Then I roll it between my hands several times after. Hope that helps.
My fiance is a car painter and im a nail tech so we come across this problem SOMETIMES...how to make sure it doesn't happen you have to make sure the polish is DRY DRY DRY before applying another coat i know it's time consuming but worth it! hope that helps!
1) never shake your polish. roll it to mix it if colors have settled over time 2) make sure polish isn't too thick. i notice more air bubbles when my polish has started to dry out. use a polish thinner to get it back to normal 3) polish in thin layers 4) let each coat DRY before applying the next.
NEVER SHAKE UP POLISH......
roll it baby!
Also. don't hold it in ur hand while painting the warmth of ur hot bod heats it up, making it thick & bubbly!

I totally went to the salon and didn't bring my own polish... my nails had air bubbles in them when I left! SO sad. At least it was cheap. =[

It is also caused by heat, I suggest leaving the nail polish you want to use in the fridge for about an half hour. Works great!
