I am looking for a long lasting even in the summer, natural looking, no shied but not totally matte foundation That comes in shades for pale girls. I'm not ginger pale but I am fair and neutral mostly but can do a slightly not too yellow base. I have had zero luck with Mac and they are always the top of everyone's list. I also have a problem with almost every foundation with oxidation. Any suggestions?

Have you tried Bare Minerals?

I find that Laura Mercier has great options for pale girls and it just depends on your skin type for the finish. I've been shopping around for high-end options too, and last weekend I went with only liner and mascara and shopped around the mall for samples. I stopped by various counters, including Lancome at Nordstroms, the Chanel and Laura Mercier booths at Macy's, the Clinique stand, MAC, Sehpora, and had them color match me.
It took me a couple of hours and I had wipes so that I could take off the makeup they put on me, but I have a good six samples to test out and choose from. You don't have to try as many, but if you are really interested in Nars or MUFE, for example, then why not stop by Sephora and sample them before you buy? Plus they're really nice about helping you find your shade =)

I plan on going to sephora, but the closest one to me is 90 minutes away and our mall has no makeup counters at all. Our biggest store is jcpenny. I was hoping for some suggestions so that I have an idea where to start and am not wasting a lot of time on brands that won't work. Thank you for your suggestions btw.
Leeann, I have tried are minerals and while I love the product, they do. Of have a color that works on me. They are either too dark or too yellow.

As a fellow "pale" girl Lancome's new Teint Idole 24H in 100 is my fav! They should have it at Sephora. Laura Mercier is a good option as well.
My blog has reviews of tons of foundations if you want to "see" my search over the last 3 months.

Lisa Eldridge recently did a video about foundations for pale skin. She mentions a few UK brands that are harder to track down in the States, though (Dainty Doll isn't avaialble here; and while select Bourjois products are available on the ASOS website, they don't carry everything, nor do they carry every colour).

Some other options may be the Siberia shades in NARS, or the lightest three or four shades of Sleek's foundations (one's a liquid, the other is a cream-to-powder formula; their website sells samples so you can try it out first). Drugstore-wise, Maybelline Fit Me! in #110 is one of the palest ones I've found. (L'Oreal True Match isn't too bad, either.) The other thing you may have to do is buy a white foundation and mix it with another foundation that is too dark.
Another option is theatrical brands (Ben Nye, Graftobian, Kryolan). They often go super light.

If you have a LUSH store near by their color supplements are good. They have one for EXTREMELY PALE skin (for girls who even with the lightest color in most other brands are still too dark for them).
The color Jackie Oates -- http://www.lushusa.com/Jackie-Oates/03400,en_US,pd.html
It can be used as a concealer and/or foundation, or even TM (if mixed with your fav moisturizer). It's great for sensitive skin!

NARS has great light foundations, as well as Cover FX.

This was a good post, when I am not spray tanned like my picture, I am usually fair with freckles. I will definitely look into these foundation suggestions for the wintertime! @ Marcy I have noticed that some of the bare minerals colors do have the yellow tint to them! I just started buying them and had to play around to find my color.

2 great drugstore foundations are the CoverGirrl Aqua smoothers and Almay's TLC 16 hour foundation. I'm in the color 120 Ivory on both. They're amazing (:

I have just started to peruse the diff foundations online to see who carries the palest shades. I do plan on going to Sephora and trying some out. Remember we are fair, like royalty lol
