Hey beauties, I applied to be a Flex-Team Beauty Advisor at Macy's a couple of days ago, and I just got an email asking me to schedule and interview! I was wondering if any of you have experience in this job, or any advice for me? I'm super nervous and I'd love to get this job.
Also, this week is my finals week and I'm extremely busy trying to finalize things for my portfolio review (I'm getting my degree in Graphic Design) so I'm looking at the available times for interviews... there are times for Monday and Wednesday that I can make, but I'd be sacrificing precious design time, or I can wait until next Monday (the 7th). Do you think that if I scheduled my interview for the 7th it would look bad? I want to get in and interview right away but I don't think I'd have time to look my best or prepare well if I did it for this week.
It wouldn't look "bad" at all... however pushing it back longer just gives more spots for applicants to apply for the position you are seeking which results in more competition. Build up a good rapport with the person on the phone when you're scheduling your interview, and hopefully, they'll keep you in mind when it's your time to come in and blow them away during your interview. =)
