I'm a licensed cosmetologist looking to advance my career as an mua. im stuck in michigan trying to promote myself and advertise. I'm also trying to get my portfolio and kit started. Any tips, tricks or advice is soooooo appreciated.

Hey! I'm actually moving to Michigan next year (hubby going to U of M for Phd)...Anywho, I started a profile on Model Mayhem and I have also added local photographers and model on my facebook as well as contacted local agencies to provide makeup for "test' shoots. As soon as I got a few pictures I liked, I created a website and business cards and have been hustlin ever since. It has been working and I actually worked on my first music video last week. thank you that should help! what music video was it, must of been so exciting. beware of Michigan the opportunitys are really limited, theres no advanced education and really boring state haha
