Hi, I already have a few mac brushes but I would like to expand my collection. Any good suggestions?

It depends on what you need or what look you'd like to achieve.

I'm wondering about foundation type brushes? Maybe a buffing brush, if you have any other brand suggestions then that would be great too :)I have a few regular foundation brushes, but I want something a bit more dense :)

I use MAC's 190SE foundation brush and 129SE blush brush.

For foundation? Not MAC. Sigma F80. Very dense and fantastic for foundation, IMO.

I agree w/Shelly... MAC face brushes are a bit of a let down, and I'm not a fan of their 187. The only face brushes I have that I like from MAC are the 109, 138 and 165; which is used for contouring/highlighting for me at least.
Eye brushes: 224, 226, 217, 219, 239, 227 and 263 my most reached for. =]

My favorite eye brushes are 239 and the 217 LOVE THEM...I have the 190 (foundation brush) and I don't think it's the greatest brush. Honestly, it's the same quality and works the same as the foundation brush that came with the Costco brush set (the whole set was $20). I recommend investing in a 188. It's duo fiber aka skunk brush..it works really good for foundation and creamblushes etc..it great for blending and highlighting too.

my favorite foundation brush from mac is the 188. my ALL TIME favorite brush for liquid foundation. super small so it gets in all the small areas, and it blends beautifully. i like the 116 brush as well. you can use that one for powder, contour, or blush. its very versatile. for eye brushes i use my 239 and 224 every single day. i own atleast 2 of each of those bad boys. :)

Forget the brushes and get a beauty blender! I dished out $50 for the MAC 187 for foundation and thought the finish was great until I bought a beauty blender. Don't worry about a brush! I have a 187 and 192 that I used for foundation. I barely touch my 192 and 187 is only used for mineral powders. Plus I felt guilty dipping my $50 brush into foundation...
And a beauty blender sponge is $25!

another good brand is Sigma Makeup brushes. I have a few in my kit and love them. They are less expensive than MAC and still a good quality brush....they're super soft.

Does anyone have an opinion on using the MAC 138 for blush? I'm also considering the Marc Jacobs The Bronze.
