I (finally) got matched for the more popular brands like MAC, MUFE, Bobbi Brown and Benefit.
MAC Studio Fix (I'm assuming this is general for all MAC foundations) - NC40
MUFE HD Dual - 125
Bobbi Brown Natural Finish - 4.0 (4.5 was out of stock, but 4.0 did seem well matched)
Benefit Oxygen Wow - Honey
I cross checked on temptalia's foundation matrix and there seems to be discrepancies? Like my MUFE 125 being lighter (and I was rather impressed by it the most!) than MAC NC40.
Should I get matched, again or it's 'normal' seeing how different brands have differing undertones and bases for their foundation? MUFE 125 and 150 is pretty far apart seeing how I'm supposedly 'NC40'.
If it seemed right when you got matched I'd go with it. Like you said different brands have varying undertones and bases so it all depends on where you're getting it from. So if it matched nicely I wouldn't worry about.
The formulas of every foundation are different as well. Depending on what skin type they are for, their coverage, etc. As well as different undertones as well, like you said. I'd stick with what you were matched with. And if you end up getting one that doesn't match, most counters/stores will let you return or exchange it.
Considering your a "NC" that means you have "warm" undertones. MAC is sorta reverse when it comes to their colors... NC stands for Neutral Cool, and NW stands for Neutral Warm. With that being said, "warm" undertone girls are usally matched to NC colors, and vice versa for "cool" undertone girls. --- The reasoning behind this is they want to neutralize your face (ie they will not give you "warm" colors to try to neutralize your already "warm" undertone skin).
I hear Bobbi Brown has a more "yellow" undertone... while there are other brands that have "pink" undertones.
If the color disappears on your face, I think you're ok. You need to remember Temptalia's foundation matrix is a guide...

Thanks for all your help!
Karissa - unfortunately I live in Singapore and we are pretty strict with exchange/returns with regards to makeup. Will have to check up on it!
