I just got 4 of the Sally Hansen magnetic nail polishes from walmart for about $9 each. I got silver elements, kinetic copper, red-y response and electric emerald. I've only worn red-y response so far but i love it. The name is misleading as this is a purple not red polish. I found it to be easy to apply and quick drying. The only downside i've noticed is that since the magnet doesnt curve around you nail if your nails are wider the design will be in the center leaving the outside plain.

Has anyone tried the magnetic nail polish? What's your fave brand and did it work?

The only magnetic polish I've tried is China Glaze's Magnetix which worked for me, however I saw many reviews from people who tried it and hated it. I think your nail shape has a lot to do with how well the magnets work.

Hmmm... I think it's a great idea but I don't know where to find it to try.

I just tried the Julep one that I got in my Maven Box and it didn't work at all =[.

it's neat! but for myself, i think it's a bit too much to do. i only have a silver/grey color right now, but if i decide to pick up a few more colors, it'll only be for accent nails. i've used the china glaze magnetix.
@mindy, oh great, i'm still waiting for my julep box to arrive, but i got the magnetic box this month too. :/ i really only wanted it for the wand that it came with so i hope that works!
I love magnetic nail polish. I've tried one by Nails Inc. and China Glaze. Sally Hansen just came out with one too!
I definitely enjoy them. It just looks so cool! It can be a bit tricky to get the magnet in the right place at first, but once you get the hang of it, its awesome!

I usually like most strange things...But I just hate the way magnetic polish looks=[

I just tried it for the first time last week. Bought the Sally Hansen one from Target in Red-y Response. Worked great, planning on buying more colors :)
I have two 17 by Boots magnetic polishes, which is a cheap brand and they work fine. They look great if light is hitting them but if it's dark or a dull day they just look kinda patchy. Would recommend a super glossy top coat to combat this.
I have the China Glaze ones, and while they're certainly an amazing deal... They don't work that well on me, because I have the most extremely curved nails that I've ever seen. My nails almost curve into an entire 180 degree curve. Anyway, if your nails aren't very curved, go ahead, but if they are, you're going to have to experiment with different magnets.

I have a Barry M one and i really like the effect! The magnet has a little ridge on it to rest over your nails easily which is really handy, it comes out great!
