I'm really interseted! We all have that moment where we flick through photos and think "WWWHHHYYY?!" whether it it be the wrong shade of foundation or the 'lovely' shade of orange on your face compared to the paleness of your neck etc.
Probably my entire high school career. Lol. I used foundation that looked okay in normal lighting, but we used to take TONS of pictures and I always came out lighter than normal because of the SPF. Lol. My last year of high school was okay 'cause i kept it pretty simple and neutral. I think I went a little too smokey on my smokey eye for prom too but hey, all in good fun and memories I'll never forget! :)
BAH! I always used way too much eyeliner and mascara, as I was a wannabegoth from the age of 12 - 14, definitely doesn't look good with loads of eyeliner under your eyes when you're a very pale girl.
I accidently grabbed my tin of Tiger Balm thinking it was my Rosebud Salve to use on my lips prior to using a super matte lipstick. I had a head cold so I had lost all sense of smell (Tiger Balm smells gross and is used to relieve sore muscles) and I didn't realize my error till my lips swelled up twice their size and they burned like fire. Once the swelling went down my lips were one big blister. I can laugh about it now....
Oh yes, probably 9-10th grade. I used to use the Wet N' Wild bronzer over the old-school CoverGirl foundation that was about 5 shades off and looked like cake. The bronzer would be blotchy and orange by like, 2nd period. Sometimes I'm surprised that I even had friends, until I remember that all my friends looked like that, too. Yuck!
I HAD A SWEET 16 AND I DID MY OWN MAKEUP... FOUNDATION WAS NOT MY COLOR. TO THIS DAY (13 YEARS LATER), IM EMBARASSED TO SHOW THOSE PICS!!! :? SO NOW IM VERY IFFY ABOUT BUYING FOUNDATION.
Andii J. You have made me laugh so hard!! First I picture you spraying your self and then screaming with eyes closed! Then I picture you screaming as your lashes blow off hahaha
Hmm My worst makeup disaster would have to be when I thought I did the sexiest smoky eye and when I looked at pictures the next day it was so uugglllyy lol
Well my make up in high school was pretty terrible, I admit to using brown lip liner and filling my lips in white a lighter shade and it looked horrible. But my worst disaster was on my wedding day. It was my first time applying false lashes. Everything was fine until they started peeling off minutes before ceremony started. I had the glue in my purse so I quickly tried putting some directly to my lash line. Bad idea, got some in my eye, I was lucky that I was wearing contacts and was able to quickly get it out before it hurt me. I cleaned it off and finally got it back on, fixed my lashes and the show went on. But it was one of those "why is this happening to me right now?" moments Lol.
Oh my days there has been one disaster and one only WORST EVER :(..........My wedding day :( devo.....I had a salon do everything for me.....and the Make-up artist asked the colour scheme of my BIG day...It was Lilac and white....the dumb women << could call her alot worse done my make-up Lilac WTF now most people know that blue eyed then dirty blond women do not i repeat DO NOT suit lilac eye shadow and there wasn't enough time for me to wipe it off and start again it was an absoult mess i looked like a clown :( :(
Oh god haha:P
One time I tried using a liquid liner on my waterline.
Hello blacked out eye due to liquid liner being in it and extreme burning.
THE HORROR :P
Oh god. So, When I was in like, 5th grade, I was totally a goth kid (still am xD) I didn't have any eyeliner, but I had some black lipstick from halloween time, and I wore it as eyeliner. And went to school like that. God whyyy
I'd have to say my worst disaster was using false lashes with glue not knowing I was allergic to the latex in it. Lashes wouldn't be on for more than 5 minutes before my whole eye became red, puffy & damn near swollen shut.
The first makeup I really started wearing was eyeliner around sixth grade, and I wore it super heavy, like Cleopatra heavy. I had no idea how much I looked like a panda.
When I first started wearing eyeshadow I didn't use a primer so I would put my makeup on reallyyy late in the morning, right before I went out the door for school so that it lasts longer. This also meant I rushed & let's just say my liquid liner was not straight at all!!
Also, I bought all this F21 makeup (right when they started making it) and I didn't realize how bad it was. The mascara smelled disgusting and I only had one eyeshadow kit that was their "smokey eye" kit, but it made my eyes look chalky. The white and gray looked the same.
On the upside both F21 and I have gotten better w/makeup. Lol.
I thought I was being cute by doing a blue smokey eye look one day for work and I guess I went a little too far up with the blue so when I went into work my boss told me that the blue didnt suit me at all, I looked in the mirror and I felt like Mimi from The Drew Carey Show :( I've probably had other bad makeup disasters but this one sticks out for me.
I love reading all of your responses! So hilarious!!!!
Eyebrows! Oh man where to even begin? In middle school I had them pencil thin! I can't believe I thought that looked cute. I then began to start filling in the ends and had this triangle action going on that looked like this ^. I cringe every time I am flipping through old photos with those rough eyebrows.
We only recently moved to the midwest, and coming from a desert climate I was ill-prepared for the effects of that first summer. There are a few specific incidents that spring to mind as a total "face fail" but really it was a summer of fail. I had no idea how to keep makeup on my face in the heat and humidity, so I'd get my look set and then walk out the door, only to notice or have my husband point out maybe 10 minutes later that it looked like my face was melting. He even took pictures once, while I shouted at him to hand me a tissue or I would shove his phone somewhere painful. Good times, lol. Hopefully I'll weather this summer a little more gracefully!
my worst make up disaster was probably when i first started getting into the whole makeup thing. I got this cover girl eye shadow pallet and when i went to go wash it off i would not some off so for the rest of the day i had the ugliest purple eye lid ever

@Alyssa - At least we can look back and learn from it! Love your profile picture by the way!
@Andii - POOR THING! I've heard of people setting their faces with hairspray though, never setting their eyes, JUST KIDDING! :)
@Aferdita - I was aswell, at least we thought we looked pretty badass. In my MCR days I used red lip liner as eyeliner, not my best look I admit!
@Shelley - Oh my, that's awful! I can't even fathom the pain!

Concealer that was most likely the wrong shade and no setting powder.
Chances are all those powder compacts were too dark for me.
Those ELF cream shadows and no primer.
Of course, this was all before I seriously got into makeup in 2009 so. This would be more like from sophomore year and up to before graduation.
