elf have good eyeshadow brushes and if you go to walmart they have brushes that are good quality.

I love Revlon, ecotools, and e.l.f. brushes. Ecotools offers great brushes you can use for mineral makeup. I have the 5-piece set by them (it comes with a bag, concealer brush, blending brush, powder brush, and baby kabuki brush that are all EXCELLENT) and revlon has great brushes overall. however, e.l.f. only has some brushes that I like. I enjoy their essential eyeshadow brush and studio contour brush. I'm sure they have other good ones but i've never tried them.

If you get all the Real Techniques brushes, you're pretty much set. From there you can start adding to your collection of brushes according to what kind of brush you need most, like, what you do the most as far as your makeup. If you bring eyeshadows from the outer corner of your eye to your lower lashline, like me, a pencil brush is key. Depending on how much eyelid space you have, you'd buy a small or big blending brush. Medium blending brush should be rather standard. I have all three... You know, Real Techniques has all the essentials, and then you just build off of there. That's what I wish I would have done. I have like, three cups full of brushes now. >.< I probably only use like, 3/4 of them... So I guess I do use the majority of them, haha

I agree w/ Nicole H., and if you can afford a splurge, Hakuhodo brushes are fantastic, along with Louise Young. Sigma's synthetic face kit is a must have for anyone looking to expand their face brush collection for liquid/cream applications. =]

Ooh. Umm.. Sigma are really nice. I've been loving Real Techniques brushes lately as well. They're really good quality and they dry really fast x

I really like the ecotools travel kit brushes from Wal-Mart as they are super soft and don't shed. I really want some Real Techniques brushes because I've seen the pixiwoo ladies using them on YT and it just applies so nicely.

for eye makeup I'd suggest looking into crowbrush, sigma makes amazing quality brushes...
reaal techniques is amazing.
those are more affordable brushes but still great quality.
i fu want more of a high end brand check out for MAC's brushes and luis young they are amazing, hakuhodo I would luv to get those ones but dang they're a bit hard swallow on the price lol X_X
lately I've been hearing a lot of good stuff on the bdellium tools so is worth checking out and like always, first look around see what are your need for brushes and then spend wisely ur money and you can save up a few dollars.

Bdellium Tools, Real Techniques and Eco Tools are your best bang for your buck. These are very high quality brushes that (for me) have stood the test of time (and numerous washings!)

For a blending brush, definitely the MAC 217. For stippling/buffing, Sigma F80. (I think the F82 will work for that, too. :))
