Hey!
I have been freelancing since the beginning of the year and I've relied on Model Mayhem for leads. Which has been great but I'm hungry for more. I frequently check craigslist for ads wanting MUAs as well but nothing promising.
What other networking tips can you suggest? I have FB, twitter and a great website.
Thanks!

I would get some business cards and market yourself. People leave them at your local hair stores go to bridal shops ask can you leave some there, self marketing can sometimes be the best thing to do. I got a lot of work on modelmayhem as well but fb,youtube and self promotion has been the best for me. also connect with photographers in your area.

I have business cards and I always give them out before I leave a shoot. I do need to reach out locally though. Thanks.

I agree with Rachelle! There are so many wedding fares during wedding season you are sure to get business there. Maybe you could also swing some cards around wedding venues as well? When my fiance and I decided on our wedding venue they gave us flyers and advertisements for local djs, photographers, hair stylists, and makeup artists!
