I love EOS lip balms. I have strawberry sorbet and lemon drop :)
My favorite lip balm is the Jack Black brand:) I personally stay away from the really medicated kind....they can burn and dry my lips out even more.
Vaseline just acts as a barrier. I suggest Carmex!
I use Vaseline! and use it on my boys!

I love the Hard Candy Tinted Lip Balm it really moisturizes my dry lips.
I find Nivea to be the most moisturizing of the drugstore brands. I've got all my friends hooked lol

love the EOS, feels like silk on your lips and smells great
I would def say EOS for a moisturizer but if you want something with color & moisurizer try Revlon's Lip Butter! http://www.beautylish.com/p/revlon-...
Eos, in sweet mint, and the classic carmex in a jar. when it comes to more flavoured balms it has to be the body shops "born lippy" in mango/peach:)

The Body Shop's strawberry lip balm... It's in a pot so you would have to use your fingers for application.. But it works well and tastes/smells nice :) Keeps my lips moisturized!
For gloss/shine/a hint of tint, try Nivea's A Kiss of Sunshine... it's not too sticky like other gloss and it smells/tastes delightful :9
