so i went blonde last summer and about a month or two ago i went back brunette.. I cant get rid of the blonde... it looks like i have highlights it always eventually fades back in .. suggestions? *i wanna stay dark
Hey I have the same problem! Only that my brown color fades to light brown and it's soooo annoying because I don't wanna dye my hair again and again and again. Maybe it's because the color won't stick for some reason? maybe you (and i) overcondition your hair and that's why the color fades all the time?
are you two using shampoo & conditioner made for colour treated hair? it really does make a difference...especially if it is professional. also, are you colouring your hair with a box dye? go professional! you get what you pay for...
if your doing it yourself, are you using a permanent dye? Also a sulfate free for color treated hair shampoo and conditioner is what you should be using and not washing it everyday~
Try a stripper, it will remove all the colour and take you back to your natural colour so you can start from scratch. Boots sell them quite cheap, and they don't damage your hair
I agree with Jaz. Shampoo and conditioner make a big diffrence. Also.. if you had really light blonde highlights/full had browns dont take to them the first time very well.
The reason for that is, when you bleach your hair out your taking all the pigment out of your hair, and pretty much empties the hair folical, think of a macaroni (odd, i know) where its just hallow. The first time you color your hair, itll take but them fade out rather quickly, Id suggest going to a salon. Salon color isnt as harsh and damaging to hair as box color is.
