So i'm ready to take the plunge and go for my license... I've seen some really nice looking online schools and it seems like this would be a good option for me as my schedule tends to be up and down.
What online school did you attend for certification? Any suggestions? What do you think is better?

For makeup I'd reallyyyyyy suggest going to an actual school. I'm in school right now and cannot imagine learning half as much through email >_<

Def actual school..you get to practice your craft every day plus you have an instructor right there to help you with techniques.

I had no idea they had online beauty school...but I think a classroom would be much easier despite the scheduling issues.

I think that there are so many helpful tutorials online already that are free! you would just be paying to do that. Nothing is better than hands on in my opinion. Practicing on different people and skin tones is essential!

I've heard there are online schools that you get a kit and have to do looks and send them into your teachers, and im sure depending on if its located close or not a teacher can come help you. i do online highschool so i don't make assumptions about that end lol.but it all depends on your lifestyle too. like if you dont wanna commute, if you're better learning at your own pace,or you like to be alone and learn and not like to be distracted - online would be a better choice. but if you like being in a classroom and need help alot and want more other student interaction - then chose an actual school. practice is practice either way. you can get the same education online as in a classroom.

I tried doing both and you really can't match the experience you get with going to an actual school. The hands-on experience and feedback from your instructor is valuable and it can't compare to an online course. Good luck!

I would say actual school for the hands on experience and extra practice!! ;-)
