I have blue eyes, and I used color contacts that were more of a turquoise color... had some green tone to it. It wasn't a noticable change for my friends, but I kinda liked it for myself. What I didn't like though is that I have large pupils and the hole they leave out in the center of the lens tends to be a lot smaller than my pupils are normally so I almost always had this fuzziness around my peripheral vision. If you plan on wearing them daily that could be a problem for your eyesight in the long run I think. I'd go to the eye doctor and get a tester pair to see how you like them first. You may have to get an eye exam before the doctor will allow it though.
I have black eyes and I've been using clear contact lenses for correcting my vision for years. Well I'm hesitant to try lenses with colors mainly because I don't know what color would suit me. As for you, I think it would be great to explore in different colors as long as you're confident in wearing them. Good luck with that!
I think colored contacts are fun & pretty! Especially those doll-like lenses. I remember when they first started being avaliable to the public, everyone would get them at a local cheap beauty supply store for like 5 bucks...the worst part of it is, you can tell they were 5 bucks. Some girls who had black eyes tried to pull off dark blue, it just didn't look right! It looked like their eyes were about to pop out of their heads! My suggestion is, try the color that would best suit your features (skin, hair, ect.) & buy good quality lenses!
Good luck :) ! xoxo
I think they look cool but some are really crazy, like pink eyes, hahaha. I have a friend who occasionally wears them. I wouldn't personally wear any sort of contact because they frighten me LOL. Just the thought of something in my eye... *shudder*
I was scared of putting contacts in too... still am a little bit, cuz my eye shape makes it hard to get them in right away.... Actually I wouldn't say I'm scared of it, just don't wanna deal with it lol. They are quite comfy once you get them on... and by comfy I mean you can't feel them. Not so bad.
Hi Damarla! :) I have been wearing prescription color contacts for about 5 years now. The brand I use is by Freshlook and the color I wear is green blend which is a combination of browns, hazels, and of course green. It definitely was a big change for me because I have brown eyes although the green blend looks super natural on me. People are always surprised when I tell them they are simply just contacts.
You can check out how the contacts look on me since I have a close up of my eyes during my tutorials, youtube.com/naturallybellexo
You can always try out any colors you'd like by going to Freshlook's website and click on the "get free trial" sorta thing. You should definitely try out their "blends" collection as they are the ones that look more natural and subtle. Hope this helped a bit :)
I've always wanted to wear colored contacts but I wear regular contacts every day so I can't :( But I think it would be fun :) Especially seeing who notices haha
Whatever you do...do not buy them online without a doctors prescription. Get them from a legit place and have your doctor give you an exam to make sure you don't have any existing conditions that would be further hindered by the contacts. *I temporarily lost my vision in one eye due to an infection I received from some knock-off lenses I purchased online*
Are you trying to get a natural look or do you not care whether it looks fake or not? In Asia, you find a lot of women wearing colored contacts and they come in unnatural patterns and the women don't seem to mind. But if that's a problem for you, try to get some from Johnson & Johnson (http://www.acuvue.com/products-acuv...) as they have a more natural color pattern on them.
Colored contacts are awesome for parties and things like that but if you've never worn them before, or don't wear everyday contacts, I would recommend not wearing them for more than 6-7 hours. They mess with your vision a little bit after taking them out from wearing them for so long, especially if they aren't prescription. (Like sunglasses would after wearing them for a long time)
I have blue eyes so I had to stick to purples and blues since you can see the blue of my iris when my pupil is smaller than the hole in the contact lense
Thanks everyone for the feedback!
@ Shelly. thanks for the tip, I would be mortified with a crazy looking eye from an infection! ...*shudder*
@Mrs. N, Yes, I would like a natural look, I have dark eyes so I'm not sure how "natural" I can get lol Thanks for the tip
I have brown eyes and I just recently bought a pair of blue contacts from a company called Fresh Look. They're really noticeable, but not in that creepy plastic alien way that I occasionally see with colored contacts. It's a ton of fun to be able to change it up, and it's funny because I find myself missing my brown eyes every now and again.

Personally I would never change the color of my eyes. The eyes are what someone notices about you first, and I think it would be too big of a change. But hey, go for it if you want to:)
