I'd get an acne wash that you can use on different parts of your body, preferably something that is at least 2% salicylic acid. I like SkinCeuticals and have used their acne wash for years and adore it. It's the only thing that saved my skin. It's a little pricey, but it works really well.
I have never used anything type of cleanser for my back, but I found that once I stopped using pantene pro-v it started clearing. I think it was "over moisturizing" my hair and the oils from my long hair would transfer to my back and cause it to break out. I have always had long hair, and still do. I don't really get break outs on my back anymore, and now I stick to Aussie or Herbal Essence conditioners. Also, wearing tight clothing all the time, and when you sleep is bad. Make sure you change your bra and t-shirt if thats what you sleep in. Now, since I live by myself I just sleep with out both and I think that it helps, also if you tie your hair up and away from your face and back it will help keep the oils from transferring
I started using Shea Moisture brand Organic Black African soap and it has done WONDERS. It's only $10 for a bottle of it, $5 for the bar. You can use it anywhere. It is seriously a godsend for me! The first week of using it, it totally purged all the blackheads out of my skin, but healed them over so quickly. I tried everything, like Neutrogena Body Washes and sprays and my body got use to them after a while. I use the black soap, with my hands since it's already got little beads, and I follow up with an AHA body lotion, like Eucerin Intensive Repair. Definitely reccomend trying these two- no dryness and very effective.
I've been using African Black Soap on a loofah on my back for over a month now, and I LOVE the lather and clean feel but it doesn't seem to be doing much for my skin. I'm going to keep trying it because I bought a TON of it and it does feel great.
I used the Neutrogena Body Clear bodywash for a loong time without seeing much change -- I even purposely kept my hair long all the time so my back wouldn't show! :/
I tried this Tea Tree Shower Mousse a few months ago and I love it! I use it with a loofah every day and just 1 pump is enough for your whole body. It has kind of a cool minty feel and I can honestly see a big difference. I got it here: http://www.naruko.us/Products/Produ...
I tried EVERTHING and nothing seemed to work. As soon as I went on the pill it started to clear up. Obviously exfoliating and all the above mentioned tips would help too!
There are 2 things you could do...1, try a acne body wash. I've heard good things about the Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash. 2, make sure when you shower, you wash & condition your hair FIRST THING. When you're completely finished with your hair, put it up with a clip or hair tie to keep it off your back while you wash your body. Make sure to wash your back well, so as to wash off all the conditioner, because that might be what's clogging your pores. Hope this was helpful(:

1) sleep with a clean shirt every night, 2) wash your body last to remove shampoo/conditioner residue with Acne body wash (Neostrata antibacterial face cleanser kills acne bacteria, exfoliates, brightens skin, hydrates-it's a WONDER!) 3) Use a large body brush or Clarisonic w/ the body brush handle (make sure to disinfect both these after each use to prevent bacteria from breeding) and 4) Murad Acne Body Spray for day use so ur skin has a treatment on for the day and nite.

make sure to shower right after sweating to prevent breakouts too =)
I just started soaking in saltwater every day, and it really seems to help prevent breakouts. Sea salt is a great disinfectant, that's why you can use saline solution to clean piercings and tattoos. I can let you know in a couple weeks if it's still working, but I haven't had more than 2 or 3 pimples on my whole back in a couple weeks.
I used to suffer from really bad bacne. I started exfoliating with body scrubs and that's when it started to clear up! Also, let your skin breathe. Tight shirts probably wont help. Showering after extensive sweating is a good idea too.
