Thinking bout doing a makeover party but idk if i should charge because i wanna have food drinks and gift bags...should i charge (it'll only be either $5 to $10) and I'll possibly raffle off a naked palette???
Depends on who's coming. If they'r strangers, you could charge and do the raffle and gift bags. If it's just your friends, charging would be kind of weird, I'd rather go with a potluck arrangement where you say "bring a potluck snack" in the invite.
What's the purpose of this makeover party, anyway? Are you going to do their faces one by one as a way to promote yourself as an MUA, just for fun (where people make each other over), or are you really actually organizing a beauty class?
More than likely itll be a little of both because i gonna post flyers an such...and one by one to promote myself as well a fun get together for women...
That sound quite fun! I'd love to attend one of those types of parties!!! But however much you charge, if it's gonna be really big, I recommend using BrownPaperTickets.org for ticket purchasing. You should check it out!
I went to one last year and its a growing trend. I paid $25 and the artist gave each of us a little goodie bag of deluxe samples of some of the products that were used in the makeover (mascara, lipstick, moisturizer, and primers). And she raffled off a sweet eyeshadow palette. If any of you happen to reside in the Orlando area and have one please hit me up on this site because I would love to attend.
I love that idea. I'd love to do one with ladies in the Los Angeles area. $10.00 is not a bad price at all for snacks a chance to win Naked and a fun party! :D

I'd easily pay $10 for a makeover party & a chance to win a naked palette.

Go for it! Don't forget to slip like 5 business cards in the goodie bag. Also slip in a brochure (kind of a mini portfolio). You never know.
