So lately I have been obsessed with learning little tips and tricks to keep your body healthier! I find that I generally have to use less makeup products and less hair products when I do things preventatively instead of just treating issues I have. So I'm curious now! What are your tips and tricks?
-Keeping your skin in tip top shape
-Caring for your hair
-Eating right
-Staying healthy
And any other woman to woman advice! :) Please, indulge me ;)
For my skin I do a scrub once a week and wash it thoroughly every night. Moisturizer is also a must and I always use one with spf during the day.
For my hair I use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner and I use a deep conditioner every other day because my hair is quite dry. I'm very vigilant with heat protectants too.
Eating right is hard but I like a lot of fruit and I try and eat as well as possible but I like to treat myself every once in a while.
In regards to staying healthy, I get up and run in the morning and I do yoga afterwards. I'm in yoga class after school and I'll normally play dance games on my xbox for a bit if I have time in the evening.
Just make sure to do whatever you feel most comfortable with. Hope this helps :)
I use cheap shampoo and conditioner.but once a week I use plamers coconut deep conditioner.pantene is very good, but I cant afford it right now.I use coco butter body lotion for my face every morning.I wash my face with a wet rag first then apply the lotion.I read that spf actually casues cancer.so I dont use lotion with spf in it anymore.I dont know tho,it seems everything this days gives you cancer.but you cant be too careful.drink lots of water, espically in the summer.
I rarely flat iron my hair and I only ever really blow dry my bangs but when I am letting my hair grow out a bit before a haircut and I see that the ends of my hair are looking a lil worse for wear, I take the little hotel bottles of shampoo/conditioner combos and apply some to the ends. Not too much, about a little smaller than a dime. It glosses them up and smoothes them down some.
I always get compliments on how clear my skin is and the way I keep my skin in "tip top shape" is by using a face mask every other day :) I use honey, sugar and lemon, mix it, make it into a paste, and apply/massage it onto my skin. Leaves my skin so soft and looking refreshed! I have the tutorial on my channel, you can check it out if you'd like :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_Oq...
The most obvious one. I stay out of the sun. And on the rare occasion I'm out there, I wear a LOT of broad spectrum SPF 50 or higher. That plus a prescription retinoid.
I drink 1 gallon of water daily, work out 4 times a week, eat fruits & veggies daily, stay away from junk food, sugary drinks like soda, especially fast food. Once in awhile i will treat myself but follow it with a good workout to avoid weight gain.

An obvious one, but plenty of water. It flushes out your body and skin :)

I use a variant of Lupe's mask as a body scrub. Sugar and lemon juice. Tastes like lemonaide and is wonderfully exfoliating.
