My hair is about shoulder length with some layers and I am getting kind of tired or wearing it straight or in a ponytail. I have naturally curly/wavy hair but since it is on the shorter side it looks poofy and weird. So how could I do a wavy beachy look with my hair? Something similar to this picture. http://images.hollywoodpix.net/ashley-benson-picture-1724694406.jpg
Thanks so much!! = )

That's a cute hair do. First, you need a product that will help bring out some waves but control some frizziness. Try Foxy Curls by Bedhead (smells. like. skittles. yum.) or Matrix Total Results Curl Defining Gel. Apply to damp hair, allow to air dry. If you're still in need of some shape (like my hair), take about a 1" curling iron & wraps small sections around the barrel without using the clamp. After the hair cools down (wait about 10 minutes), gently insert your fingers into your hair (like you're giving yourself a massage) & shake the curls-it roughs them up without pulling them out. Let me know how it works!

I haven't had luck with sea salt sprays, very few of my clients like them, & they have always left my hair gritty. i am a soft, touchable hair kinda girl, so gritty is a no-go for me! i WANT to like them!

Take some smoothing serum of some sort and apply it everywhere but the roots first. Then use a curling wand not a curling iron and just wrap ur hair around it for less corkscrewy curls and more beachy waves
