Most of the CS palettes are the exact same palettes you can find on eBay (and BH Cosmetics, and various wholesale/private label brush services), often for less, sometimes with free shipping. (I'm referring mainly to the wholesale 88/256/78/28 eyeshadow palettes, 10 blush palette, and suchlike.) Personally, I don't use any of them, nor do I really want to. There are way too many colours that I'd never use, not to mention you can find good quality palettes elsewhere, or build your own palette with colours that you know you'd love and use all the time.
honestly? i use a coastal scents concealer palette as well as the classic 88 shadow palette. they're convenient to keep in my kit on jobs where i'm working TFP or not being paid enough to justify the use of a nearly $300 Bobbi Brown palette.
i like to consistency of the concealers, and because most models will bring their own foundation it's a lot easier than carrying thirty pots with me to try to match skin tones. as far as the shadow palette, there are colors that i do not/have not/probably will never wear personally, but working on a lot of artistic shoots as well as in drag it's always good to have the options available.
I have 3 CS eyeshadow palettes and I love them ALL! The prism palette has an amazing matte white in it that is the first shadow I've ever hit pan on and I'm quickly running out. But they last a long time and they're super pigmented. They're also usually on sale on Fridays!
