If you don't have a primer, you can use a little concealer or foundation on your lids. For it to last longer, a setting or finishing spray? If I'm on a night out and want my make-up to stay put I actually spray my face lightly with hair spray. My eye make-up looks fresh all night.

I have relatively oily lids, and too faced shadow insurance has been my holy grail primer for years now. The best technique for staying power is to use a primer then a jumbo pencil as a base (NYX & Urban Decay are my favs). Your eyeshadow will last until you decide you want it off.
