I use the same one! :D I found that exfoliating everyday made my skin dryer faster. The product doesn't have moisturizing factors in it, so it's best to use it every few days. For me it's best if I exfoliate twice a week, but it could be different for anyone. Hope this helped! :)
Probably depends on what scrub you use, some are milder than others.
But in general, yes. It is bad to exfoliate every single day, because it can be extremely harsh on the skin.
At max it should be done twice a week, I think. I am absolutely no expert, but that's the rule I follow. I know myself I have exfoliated too many times in a short period, and paid the price by having red, sore and irritated skin. However, I haven't used the equate apricot scrub, so I don't know how mild or strong it is.
Just be careful, your skin deserves the best treatment only =)
Yes, it's best to just do it once or twice a week.
(And don't use anything similar to the St Ives Apricot Scrub. That stuff creates tears in your skin that you don't want.)
If you have severely oily skin then you can exfoliate up to three times a week, but if you have combination then twice a week, and normal or dry then only once a week. (:
Adding to the consensus, a gentler product that you might be interested in is rice bran. It's the brown 'casing' from rice ground into a fine powder. Rice bran has a lot of nutrients for your skin and it feels a lot like mineral makeup when dry. You just add a little water to make a paste. Still wouldn't use it more that 2-3x a week though.
Yes. Unless you're using it like a chemical exfoliation. If your skin feels dehydrated, flaky, red or your skin looks transaparent, it means that your skin is over exfoliated, then try 3 timer a week. That should be enough.
Yes it is. You need to exfoliate at least 3 or 4 times a week. Exfoliating everyday will only strip away moisture from your skin and will break you out.
With a harsh exfoliant yes, it is harmful to exfoliate daily. However, if you're using a gentler exfoliant without abrasive particles it is a good thing to add to your daily beauty routine. It will give you a wonderfully glowing complexion.
No I have oily skin so I exfoliate everyday...whenever I go for a facial they tell me I have beautiful skin and to keep doing whatever it is that I'm doing
I agree w/ the majority of responses here.... Equate's scrub (similar to St. Ives original apricot scrub) is too harsh for daily use unless you are extremely oily w/ a faster than normal cellular turnover (evidenced by constant clogged pores & an overall rough uneven look and texture)...If this is the case, I would buffer it w/a cream or gel cleanser. Also keep in mind that when you exfoliate your treatment products (serums) will be more effective -less dead skin to travel through- and use a nutritive moisturizer so your skin recovers properly!
p.s. common sign of over exfoliated skin is reddish or skin colored bumps around the face, especially in more sensitive areas like chin, eyes, labial folds

Yes, your skin can only regenerate so fast! Also some formulas can be very drying due to the detergent like harshness.
