I want to try out a bb cream because a lot of make up gurus on youtube that I watch say really good things about them . So any suggestions ?

I have the Garnier one and I like it, but it never really sets and it's kinda greasy. It's ok for me because my skin is drier than the Sahara desert but I would definitely say stay away if you get any kind of oil

I have the same experience too, Kayli H. I have dry skin too, so I don't mind the shine as much and it looks better once set with some powder. Sometimes I skip highlighter and just let the shine of the creme show through. I tried the Maybelline one, and thought its had barely any coverage- but its great for a little something and could be set with a more full coverage powder. So, if you're oily, Garnier BB is pretty shiny, and if you need more full coverage, Maybelline BB is sheer. I like that there is actually a lot of product in the Garnier tube, despite it looking so small. So, I like both, for different reasons, but I like the Garnier better because it smells nice, has better coverage, and the shine ( from the SPF) can be cut down with some translucent finishing powder or the powder of your choice.

I actually think the Garnier one smells really strongly of hair products and I don't really have a problem with heavily scented things. It has pretty decent coverage for something that's basically a tinted moisturizer. And like Kayli and Julianne said, it gets pretty shiny/greasy throughout the day. That's the only drugstore BB I've tried and I really wouldn't recommend that one. I liked it at first and now I'm just trying to get through the tube because I don't wanna just trash it. Watch emilynoel83's drugstore BB cream video, she review 4 of them and it's very informative! Hope you find one that works

I honestly haven't found a very good drug store version. GArnier was the first to sell one in Canada but it never sets and it oxides so mid-way through the day I was really oily and orange-y. The maybelline and l'oreal ones don't offer much coverage either. I don't know if Marcelle is sold in the US but that one looks to give a decent amount of coverage however I'd say go to amazon and order Lioele. It's really good, well-priced and actually does what a BB cream is supposed to do.

The "BB creams" at drugstores are just overglorified tinted moisturizers, nothing more. Ignore them completely.

Izzy at Musings of a Muse has reviewed loads of BB creams, western and Asian. Definitely check out her website.

If you have oily skin, do not buy the Garnier BB Cream, I just returned that thing b/c I have oily skin & my face looked so shiny! on top of that I didnt really notice an even skin tone, I felt like it was just a really light tinted moisturizer with a strong smell.
