I have yet to try any of their products. I have heard some good things along the way but thought i'd run it past my gals and fellas here at Beautylish. So let me in on the 411 if you have used these products or use them.
I've used everything from skin care to makeup, the foundations are nice but I didn't like the consistency and texture it left on my face. Shadows are alright for pigment, I don't believe MK has a shadow primer so that was a downfall for me, MK also doesn't have brushes either. But I like their skin care :)
I keep hearing great things about the skin care! I am almost convinced to at least give that a try. Awesome! Thank you tons for your response @Kyle G. :)
As soon as I started the Mary Kay skin care products, I started breaking out!! I have stopped using their products and am still breaking out- so not too sure what happened there??
I used to have normal skin, but had gotten a rash on my face and I started thinking, I better start taking care of my skin. Not that the rash had anything to do with my skin care routine. So I started using MK and my skin hasn't been normal since. It's combo / oily now. Hope this helps!!
I didn't have a problem with the sunscreen but I went two rounds with the skincare program and I loved it. No breaking out for me but of course everyone's skin is different. I have a couple of their blushes and since they went to mineral with them I have to say I'm quite impressed with it. Very pigmented.
Mary Kay does have brushes. Because I have them haha. But I like sigma and Kat Von D brushes better. I think Mk has a lot of products (like any cosmetic line) that has its pros and cons. There skin care line is great, but I wasn't a fan of the eye shadows. Love more of the skin and body stuff from them!
I haven't had a problem with their skin care and I have oily skin. Their brushes are okay. Their eye shadow I think depends on the color, mine (brownish to copper) is awesome and lasts all day. And their blush is good but REALLY pigmented. But I'm undecided on their mascara, the lash love (not waterproof) clumps really bad, but the water proof lash love doesn't.
Mary Kay has always been incredibly hit and miss for me. Their foundations have a nasty tendancy to oxidize on me, and leave me a lovely shade of orange. Some of their lipsticks and eyeshadows are really good.
Two of their skin care items used to be HG's for me, but I don't think they sell them any longer. :( One was a lip exfoliator/balm set, and the other was a hand scrub. I really wish I could find them again.
I have quite a few mary kay products. I used to sell it so when I started out my mua career all my foundation were mary kay i dont know much about the newer products but if you have questions i'll try and answer them
@Amanda I am very interested in the foundation, I mosly wante to know if it is even worth the try. How it goes on..how is the finish ETC. I am pretty sure that I want to also try the skincare items.
I have tried Mary Kay and I don't like it, it's ok. I prefer Avon. The only one thing I like is their blackest eyeliner it is waterproof and last all day but they are expensive I think $16, u mite as well buy urban decay or Mac for that much.
I really like the skincare products Mary Kay offers. I just recently tried the Moisture Mask Formula 1 and it is amazing for dry skin ! (: I did a full review on my blog

Christina, you may be referring to the Satin Hands treatment and the Satin lips set and if so, MK does still have them and I have them in stock and on sale. I am a MK Beauty Consultant but don't have much time to do it, so I am trying to sell the products I have in stock. I actually like the foundation, especially the mineral powder foundation, its so light and actually covers. if anyone wants to purchase products, let me know..everything I have is currently 50% off! mkcaitlin@Gmail.com
I know there company is huge on parties so I had them for a girls night out and there makeup is not horrible. but I dont think its the best product out there. :) you can go to a convention they hold and they teach you about all the makeup. one thing I do not like about them is they know how to hussel xD so they try to make you buy everything.

Not a fan of the makeup, but the Microderm exfoliant, the lip buffer, and the makeup remover are awesome!

Ohh and as said above satin hands and lips! For satin lips I prefer my own scrub but the balm is fantastic.
