How do you guys feel about priming before applying you makeup ? (foundation, eyeshadows, liners, etc.) & if you do whats your favorite brand of primer. :)
ALWAYS prime.. I have oily skin w/indented scarring on areas of my cheeks.. Primer always fills in the fine lines under my eyes! As for eye primer, I notice absolutely no difference.. I've used Urban Decay's, Too Faced, E.L.F., NYX.. & concealer & powder work just as great for me! No problem with fading or creasing.. Depends on the person though of course!
Priming is a must especially if you live in Miami (like I do) or have greasy lids like I do. Urban Decay Prime Potion... LOVE it and I prime my face with Amazing Cosmetics oil-free primer. It has anti aging properties and ever since I hit the big 2-5, I am all about antioxidants and anti-agers in my products :)
@Raisa I live in south Florida also so I can relate. Urban Decay's prime potion is really popular among Makeup lovers everywhere. & @jacqueline I've tried using concealer as a primer before I knew about Primers & I never noticed a difference once I started using actual primer so I agree.
honestly girl, priming before applying your make up is SO important. it helps keep your makeup on all day. primer for your skin, eyes, lips, & eyelashes. primer for your skin & eyes will help the makeup stay on all day, go on even (not crease), and basically make your makeup flawless. lip primer softens your lips and evens out your lipstick. eyelash primer makes your eyelashes longer !
Always prime!!! especially if you live in humid weather! Our fav is Korres primer, and its natural! Also be sure to check our our new beauty sample club @pinkpackage http://www.facebook.com/PINKPACKAGE

Yes! For oily skin - I love pore no more primer, it has tea tree and is silicone based, I also love dermalogica clearing mattifyer that has salicylic acid, various essential oils, and is silicone base so is is a great primer.
Prime! I just recently picked up the Almay primer. It's great! It's purple and green and blends in to help get a better complexion that helps with the trouble spots
I use concealer as my eyeshadow primer. It lasts until I take it off. (I sometimes work in a smokey bar, getting all sweaty.) as for foundation primer, I sometimes mix it into my foundation but never straight on my face. Yes, it makes my face feel good but my make up like flakes off. Maybe I just got a bad kind?
In response to ERICA, your foundation + primer mix is flaking off because they are mostly likely two different soultions that de-stabalize when mixed together. Mix the two on your hand, how does the consistency look when you first mix it, is the color even?
I noticed that once I mixed the two together, really well, it was fine. But when I put primer THEN foundation it flaked off. When I mix them together, they go seamlessly.
Whats a good drugstore face primer? The one from L'Oreal is €17 but the one from MAC is €21. The differents isn't that big. I'm lookin for one under €10 ($12)
I use Hard Candy SHeer Envy Skin Perfecting primer, feels awesome and works awesome!!!
I use Too Faced shadow insurance and NYX eyeshadow base for perfect eyeshadow canvas!!
I prime with MUFE All Mat. Primer has changed my life. My skin is oily and I live in 85% humidity pretty much year round. Adding that one extra step to my routine has helped my make-up last so much longer.
Primer is a must! Primer = protection, long lasting makeup, a fresher look, and anti aging prevention. And there are different primers for different skin types. I'm a firm believer In priming, you don't realize the difference in your skin until you stop using it.
I stopped using a primer since I resorted to using bb cream instead. I only apply primer on my lids. I have one tube left of NARS primer that I'm using up with my mineral foundation and after that I plan on not re-purchasing.
