Also, I would not recommend growing out damaged hair. As it gets longer it will only get worse. Before anything else, I'd say go to the salon and get a haircut.
I agree with Shelly. Depending on how damaged your hair is, I'd say just cut off the dead hair. Your hair will "fill in" the missing spot in no time. Retaining your length and properly caring for your hair will help it grow. Keeping it relatively damage free will also help it grow because the damage isn't traveling up the hair strand and breaking off.
I used to highlight my hair for too many years ... Then decided to go natural as I relax it n colours too was too much! So now has grown a lot cos I do deep masks treatments weekly n also I had the keratin brazilian treatment done on it is much smoother now that's god :) n also weekly coconut oil treatments usually keep it overnight next day wash it out! Hair feels amazing ! I use vatika coconut oil has coconut oil n lemon on it ! Love it I raccomend it
I have pretty damaged hair (and long also) so I just trim my ends like every 5-7 weeks (cut about half inch away) and use a lot of conditioner (almost every day). I used to use coconut oil and it really helped my hair but because it didn't last so long and it's pretty expensive (here in Northern Europe) so I just use deep masques and sometimes mix an egg (contains protein) and conditioner together. I dye my rooth growth but don't dye my ends, just use a color conditioner. And oh, I eat a lot of vitamin D, which will help me to grow my hair faster.
There is nothing you can do to make your hair grow faster, hair grows at its own pace if you have damaged hair you should get a trim, also a heAlthy scalp will promote hair growth but not make it grow faster. Try trimming it and then keeping it healthier if you actually want to see the results of your hair growth
Prenatal vitamins, regular trims to get rid of dead ends, stay away from heat let your hair air dry as often as possible, trying braiding your hair instead of curling or one of the no heat curling methods, and morracan oil/argan oil is amazing for the ends of your hair. I have fine hair but a lot of it been growing my hair out for the past six months i took all these steps and my hair has grown 6inches and is healthier than ever, my hair started out damaged!
Massage your scalp for several minutes every day, the boost in blood flow helps growth. I do this in the shower as part of my shampoo/condition routine and my hair grows about 1 1\2 inches per month

Your hair will grow at whatever rate it decides.
Also, I would not recommend growing out damaged hair. As it gets longer it will only get worse. Before anything else, I'd say go to the salon and get a haircut.

It all depends on your health. I would suggest you trim off the damaged parts & use hot oil treatment

Haircut. Allowing the damage to stick around is only going to get worse. Why spend good money on dead ends.

Nope the prenatal pills are proven to work along with other products (biotin, coconut oil etc) but trimming it helps too
