How do you put in leave in curlers to wear over night? Do you cover your hair in a scarf? What products do you put in it to leave it soft? And how big should the curlers be? My hair is thick and a little bit past my nipples lol. Help?
I use both flexi-rods and satin pillow rollers in my hair. What I do is split my hair into four sections. With each section at a time, I spray on a DIY moisturizing hair spritz (not the kind that makes your hair hard) on my ends and a little on my roots. I think seal it in with an organic oil of my choice (recently mine has been coconut oil) and THEN seal in my coconut oil with a moisturizer. I use the Aussie one. Within that section, I detangle my hair from tips to roots slowly so that I get all shredded and knotted hair out. For your hair length, I suggest flexi-rods in the purple color. Try looking on YouTube on ways to roll your hair with flexi-rods. Word of advice, fold the two ends down once you roll your hair to make it easier to sleep on. I tend to put a satin bonnet on my hair to keep the rollers in place and keep my hair from drying out due to a cotton pillowcase. I hope this helps!
I have leave in rollers that i bought from sally's for like $7 & I have pictures up of the end results if you want to see how they look along with the wands i use (the orange ones). Comb out your WET hair, then just wrap your hair around the wand/roller and bend up the tips. A scarf is a necessity for me, its the only way to ensure that the rollers/wands will stay in place(they may fall out if you don't), then just go to bed, when you wake up take them out its as simple as that! My hair is pretty thick as well and i only needed one pack. I have to say that this is hands down the best and healthiest way to curl hair. Yous should also know that the type of curl you get varies depending on how you wrap it around the wand and what size rollers/wands you use. The Bigger the roller the looser the curl, the smaller the roller the tighter the curl. I also put a moisturizer in my hair, i use the Biolage. Good luck :)
