I was looking on amazon and found a 96 color eyeshadow palette by the brand Shaney. I was just wondering if anybody has heard of this brand or has tried it. It was only 14 dollars so I thought I would try it out.
You have to think that any brand that's giving you 96 colors for 14 bucks that can still make a profit is giving you exactly what you pay for - Eyeshadows worth less than a dollar each. The quality is going to reflect that. If you don't mind really working with something to get it to work, I'd say get it. I think it might be more worth it to get a couple NYX or Glamour Doll shadows.
The shadows are NOT the same as Coastal Scents entirely. Coastal Scents now makes their products in house because they were tired of other companies having near identical palettes to them. Their 256 palette for example actually has a copyright so no one else can copy them. This was told to a friend of mine at IMATS (for an interview) by the owner and founder of Coastal Scents.
As for Shany, at this point in time they're NOT making money on their products - this was told to me by the CEO and founder of Shany. I own numerous Shany products - all given to me by the CEO/founder - and I found the shadows are pretty decent but like other inexpensive products have some hits and some misses. Shany showed at IMATS LA (June) and CPNA in Vegas (July). If you're looking into their products then I would recommend giving them a try.
