Hi im currently starting a special effects media makeup and hair course coming september and ive been doing a bit of research on stage makeup and sfx makeup. i was wondering if anyone had any of ben nye products at all, they look lovely but because i havent got any yet im still curious of what theyre like.
thank you
Ben nye cosmetics do work really well. Just a warning: a little bit goes a long way. Their face products are especially creamy and thick and offer a lot of coverage.
I have found the Kryolan is a much better brand, the coverage is thick but feels light and they carry everything you could possibly need. Also, I've found that I have not broken out at all wearing these products, I even went for 24 hours in full make up for a film and came out blemish free and with only a light touch up at the 14 hour mark.
Ben nye makeup is so awesome! Their products are by far the best. I would say with price it's comparable with everyday cosmetics but they last longer and are far superior. I have worn Ben nye for years have never broken out and the pigment is fantastic! They have tons if products! Kryolan is...ok. Their paradise line, at least the teal stained my skin after wearing for only a few minutes ( it was a test run). So be aware and I you can find a store where they have samplers. I absolutely love the makeup sealer. It smells like spearmint!
