so I'm a little low on cash atm because I'm about to start college in two weeks. i really really want something new for my lips, but I'm so picky. the only thing i have ever truly loved was the fresh tinted lip balm in rose, but its like 30 something dollars. so pretty much, i hate lip gloss, I've never tried a lip stick because i don't really like how it tends to look dry on people. i just picked up a revlon lip butter today in sweet tart and i really love the product but not so much the color.. i have a problem with that to, finding the right color for my lips that will work for me. can anyone reccomend a lip product and/or shade to me that can be found at a drugstore?
i have brown hair with lots of blonde highlights, brown eyes, and pretty tan skin. & i usually have a neutral smokey eye & peachy blush everyday, if any of that helps with the shades.
thank you guys!
It's a really cheap tinted chapstick that I'm obsessed with. Not only do all the shades smell great, but the colors look natural and work on everyone. I would suggest buying the purple one. It looks intimidating in the tube but when applied, simply makes your lips look flushed and soft. Not only are they moisturizing, but they last a long time so you don't have to worry about reapplying. Also, it's really very cheap.
If you like that shade, you can try the other ones as well. They all seem to look fabulous on everyone :)
Revlon has some great lipsticks. The only one that I can think of off the top of head is a nice nude color in 'mink'. And I would only purchase at CVS or Walgreens because of their lax return policy with cosmetics.
NYX has a lot of really great lipsticks in all sorts of shades that don't give your lips that dry look for great prices. Also to help avoid the dry look with other lipsticks you can put lip balm on first to help your lips look fresh all day.
oh my gosh, you have to try burt's bees lip shimmers they'd be perfect for you! they're so moisturizing yet still very pigmented and give off amazing color, so much better than babylips in my opinion! these sell for about $5 which isn't bad at all, i've repurchased so many times i've lost count ahah
Dear Autumn D,
I know how hard it can be to be on a college student budget. I use Buddha Balm lip balm, if you go to their website http://www.buddhabalm.com and click on the "company" tab you can try their lip balm for FREE. All you need to do is send them an old tube and they will send you one of theirs for FREE!!! This is a great way to try a new product and become a new user! Good Luck!

Have you tried the Revlon Balm Stains? They sound like they'd be more up your alley.
